***EDIT***
Sorry for all the editing guys. Compressing this file really blurred the image a little more than I would have hoped, so I had to try to sharpen and resize it...Doesnt help when dA throws the res down to 72 either.
***END EDIT***

GLINDA: I hope you're happy now that you're choosing this.
ELPHABA: You too, I hope it brings you bliss.
BOTH: I really hope you get it, and you don't live to regret it. I hope you're happy in the end. I hope you're happy, my friend.

--Defying Gravity, Wicked the Musical

ELPHABA: And just to clear the air, I ask forgiveness for the things I've done you blame me for.
GLINDA: But then, I guess we know there's blame to share.
BOTH: And none of it seems to matter anymore.

Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, from the musical Wicked.
This is the Broadway musical currently taking up my time, as well as being better than Phantom of the Opera (but that's sort of unfair to say since this isnt an opera).

Gift art for ~daphnemoon (sorry I short changed you on all that lovely detail Elphie's dress should have =( ).

No harsh critiques please. I know my rendering of green skin sucks. Deal with it.

Let me know if you think this is even close.

Musicals are never as 'heavy' as their literary counterparts.

I've read the book, and though I loved it, it was a little...(for lack of a better word) thick in areas. I really think the whole book is written rather well and makes you come to your own conclusions as to how things happen.

The musical is much more whimsical, and frankily, better than the book.
