Well, actually even though it's got a horn. It really is a horse isnt it?
Anyway!~!
I did this for many reasons...1) I've gotten tired of drawing lineart and coloring it in. 2) I havent drawn a horse in AGES (seriously drawn...not just sketched). 3) I was really begining to doubt my ablity to actually render something out. Especially since I cant render a human worth beans.
A couple things I want to point out so I dont have to hear it. This is a stylized horse/unicorn. What does that mean? Means I was too lazy to haul my butt outside to my real horses and rough sketch one out.
SOOO muscles are not exact, purportions are to MY liking, and not nessessarily correct.
And I'll point out to you, the title says: 'study' which means it's not a complete picture.
In all honesty this is a pre-run before I start on a 12 horse carousel project.
This horse/unicorn will probably be the most realistic of them all. Since, if you know carousel horses, the artist go to great lengths to create a sculpture that no horse could ever be.
This actually took a little while to create. A good part of the morning actually. It's on about seven or eight layers including a hidden layer of the digital sketch.
The only sad thing is you cant see the details on the face. Being as small as it it. Maybe I'll post an enlarged head later.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

A single note don't make a melody!"
The muscles took forever, only because I wasnt sure if that was where they went. My brain isnt photographic, so I have to go off hazy memories.
